Now that Turkey has the full support of the US in continuing its genocidal campaign it’s making good on its promise to do just that.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) and several other media outlets have confirmed that Turkish airstrikes and tank shelling has killed at least 20 civilians and injured anywhere between 15 to 25 others, some seriously.
Sami Abdul Rahman of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, speaking to France24 news channel and Rojavan journalist Hosheng Hesen on Twitter reported that the the village was bombed this morning by Turkish warplanes and tanks.
This is just one more crime in a long history of Turkish ones, where indiscriminate killing seems to be the order of the day. Recall the statement of Sara Kaya, mayor of Nusaybin city and member of the Democratic Peoples’ Party that Turkish forces were killing anything they could lock a rifle scope on
“In the other districts, which are not exposed to the bombing, the Turkish security forces deployed snipers on top of the residential buildings…Snipers are targeting any suspicious movement inside these neighborhoods.” A municipal worker had been shot dead by Turkish snipers earlier that day.
“The Turkish war is not against a certain party,” she would continue, “it’s against all Kurds.”
Since the start of the Turkish military campaign last July, over a 1000 civilians have been reported dead, hundreds more injured and tens of thousands displaced due to the attacks and by the Turkish forces in the southeastern section the country.
No word yet as to why these planes aren’t unleashing the same destruction on the forces of ISIS. Funny, it’s almost like they’re not actually enemies….
“Hezbollah seized four intelligence officers in a quality military operation near Khan Toman, the stronghold of Al Nusra, on May 12th. The officers are American, French, Turkish and Saudi. They were running the joint operations room with Al Nusra leading militants.”
With the US giving the greenlight for the wanton slaughter of an entire people, effectively ignoring something along the lines of the Armenian genocide, we can only look forward with dread as to what horrors the Turkish war machine, combined with its ISIS lap dogs, will unleash next.
